What we don't talk about - Kino Konesera
Helios Blue City, WarszawaAbout the event
Carlo and Elisa live in Rome, forming a seemingly successful relationship. He is a professor of philosophy at the university and a writer fighting the creative crisis. She, in turn, is a talented, brilliant journalist whose columns appear in international lifestyle magazines. Their relationship, which has lasted two decades, is creeping into more routine and distance. To regain their former energy, they decide to go to Morocco in the company of long-time friends: Anna and Paola and their thirteen-year-old daughter Vittoria — an intelligent, inquisitive and eccentric teenager. It turns out that they, too, are experiencing a serious crisis, which is most reflected on the girl. Vittoria, unable to get along with her parents, finds a foothold in Carlo, establishing a close bond with him. This is only the beginning of the problems to come... Sunny Tangier becomes the backdrop for an ambiguous tale of secrets, lies, suppressed emotions and dangerous desires. Gabriele Muccino's new film is loosely inspired by the novel “Siracusa” by Delia Ephron, which was also published in Poland. The writer is also a co-writer of the film “What We Don't Talk About.” In Italy, the film has already been watched by over a million viewers!
