“OCALONE”, directed by Maja Kleczewska, is Agnieszka Przepiórska's latest monodrama and one of the first voices given to the victims of the pacification of Ochota during the Warsaw Uprising. Based on scraps of memoirs and diaries from witnesses and victims, the author of the screenplay — Piotr Rowicki — weaves the story of Irena K. showing a fragment of many crimes committed in 1944 by SS RONA units, consisting mainly of deserters who fled from the Red Army. However, the show is not only a story about the transition camp in Zieleniak, but a universal story about women who have experienced war rape. A current history under any latitude where hostilities take place and rape is used as a form of weapon.

“OCALONE”, directed by Maja Kleczewska, is Agnieszka Przepiórska's latest monodrama and one of the first voices given to the victims of the pacification of Ochota during the Warsaw Uprising. Irena K. from Opaczewska Street was 12 years old when SS RONA troops appeared in the insurgent Warsaw in August 1944, spending the civilian population of Ochota in Zieleniak. At night, drunken sodas pulled young and old women, little girls and expectant mothers out of the crowd, whom they raped en masse. Many of them were brutally killed. Irene managed to survive. For eighty years, her memory fell silent, but on the day of the unveiling of the monument “in honor of the murdered” everything returned to her. It was again the night in the Greenhouse, the screams of girls and women that no one could save. She heard her muffled voice again, and then, suddenly, she began to say aloud: “I had such a white ribbon tucked into my hair then...”
