A perverse, sensual and surprising film at every turn, which turned out to be the last work in the work of Stanley Kubrick. The story of William (Tom Cruise) and Alice (Nicole Kidman), plunged into a marriage crisis belonging to New York's upper classes. One night, under the influence of impulse, a man embarks on a frantic escape, during which he gets a chance to realize his long-suppressed sexual fantasies. Will William be the same man when he returns? How will his experience affect his relationship with Alice?
