From horror to solarpunk, or different faces of post-apocalyptic fantasy | Horror Day 2026

The scenarios of the fate of humanity in post-apocalyptic fiction can be dark and leave no hope, but also give faith in the possibility of surviving disasters - ecological, epidemiological or technological. In the presentation I will focus on evoking and characterizing selected visions of the world in the forms of literary creation focused on the broadly understood post-apocalypse. I will also try to answer questions about the sources of their popularity and adaptability to the social problems and anxieties of the modern world.
