Take a breath! Ceramic workshop with Marianna Marszałkowska

On October 11 at 11:00 we invite you to the GCSW at Strajku Dokerów Street 5 for another meeting from the “Breathe” series.

This time the starting point for creative experiments will be a colander - an ordinary everyday object, which during the workshops will become an inspiration to create your own ceramic molds.

During the meeting, we will work with clay, learn basic ceramic techniques and experiment with shape, texture and decoration. Each participant will make two dishes: a small colander made of clay and a larger mold on the legs. We will roll, glue, texture, decorate and create holes, transforming a well-known form into a unique utility object. The workshop is aimed at adults, in particular parents of children with disabilities. It is a space to stop creatively, focus on manual work and take a moment to breathe away from everyday duties.

The workshop will be led by Marianna Marszałkowska — a visual artist creating installations and kinetic objects, winner of the Audience Award of the Gdańsk Biennale of Art in 2023.

At the same time, we planned a free movie screening for the children.
