Departure!

In addition to him, Tobi and Augusta live on the farm of an elderly Luke. Tobi is a young jackfruit, rescued by a man who instead of sticking with other jackdaws and cutting bugs — as befits a bird — prefers to torment Luke with incessant questions and eat cake. Augusta is an old and wise hen, whose eggs (without her knowledge) are the main item in the home menu. Luke is seriously ill and will probably soon be gone forever. So he worries about the fate of Toby, who is completely independent. Meanwhile, the young coffee is consumed by energy, so it requires Luke to take care of it all the time — regardless of his state of health and general exhaustion with this demanding task. “And what is fatigue?” , constantly asks the bird. The man tries to encourage Toby to make friends with other coffees and instead of cake he ends up eating worms, but the bird does not want to hear about it at all.

Will Tobi become independent before Luke is overcome by illness? Will Augusta find out that Luke doesn't incubate her eggs in his bed at all, but eats them every morning for breakfast? And will the friendship between the three withstand the changes that await them — or will a little space paradoxically make them even closer?

Apke explains the theme of death in a funny and charming way, portrays the friendship between man and animal, and shows children's attitudes in a crooked mirror. It does not instruct the youngest spectators, but allows them to find themselves in the chaos of growing up. It also shows in an understandable way for children the difference in perspectives between them and adults. Simple, humorous situations built by Apkego with the scene in mind will give a lot of joy to big and small Spectators.

Teachers and guardians are encouraged to enrich their visit to the theatre with educational workshops, which, by appointment, can accompany the performance. The workshops are adapted to the age of the participants and thematically refer to the content of the show. This is a great opportunity to deepen the theatrical experience, creatively process it and better understand the issues raised in the performance.
