About the event

Art in a wise and light way tells about tolerance, raises issues of national and ethnic identity, sensitizes to otherness and proves that skin color is just skin color and nothing more.

Nanji, or actually Frederick (or maybe Nanji though?) is a young white stork who, by a twist of fate, was born not in Europe, but in Africa. He is the only white kid among African black storks and that makes him feel alien everywhere. She has only one true friend - crazy Fantu, a black stork. With her, he forgets the sorrows, they surpass each other in games and mischief. However, Nanji's overprotective mom and overworked dad fear for their son's safety and, as part of punishment for unreasonable antics, forbid the children to meet. So Nanji and Fantu decide to escape together to Europe - Nanji's dream homeland, where he thinks everything is better. This long and adventurous trek of the stork kids will allow them to look at themselves and the world from a different perspective. They will discover that it is beautiful to be different, that one does not have to look for one's place “somewhere”, but “next to someone”.
