The topic of the meeting will be the evolution of the approach to animals on the example of Krowodrza. Ethics, morality or religiosity are intertwined with politics, economics, population growth and the need to provide food for more and more people. The moral and anthropological synthesis will be combined with concrete examples from history and contemporary times. We will talk about the general phenomenon on the basis of a local, well-recognized base by us.

At the meeting we will host Barbara Biel, former President of the 5th District of Krowodrza, involved in popularizing oral history and coordinating the activities of the oldest Krowoderskie families for local heritage, and Joanna Gellner from the Photography Department of the Krakow Museum, co-curator of temporary exhibitions at the Krakow Museum: “Like a Dog with a Cat” and “The City of Animals.
