Metals
Join us for a black night in December when Offernat, Tungsind and Heksprocessus envelop The Flea in heavy doom metal on December 4th!
VICTIMISED
Since the release of their second record 'Where Nothing Grows', Offernat has been a duo consisting of Anders Bork and Jonas Bangstrup. While holding on to long, through composed song structures, it draws on a variety of inspirations from doom, sludge, and black metal, all of which come together and cut deeper into the core of the music. As a result, 'Where Nothing Grows' takes a more focused approach to songwriting, inviting the listener on an unpredictable journey through chaotic aggression and hitherto unheard of emotional depths.
TUNGSIND
An old-fashioned way of saying depressed in Danish, Tungsind is a Copenhagen doom project that combines oppressive, dragging drone motifs with anxiety-inducing black metal riffs, bound together in a chaotic whole. A perfect representation of our current mental state.
WITCH PROCESS
Heksprocessus is a hard-hitting metal band from Copenhagen. In February they released their debut album 'Lovely er Jorden', which has garnered good reviews in metal media such as Devilution and Vigilante. Based on post and black metal, Heksproces takes the listener into an intense world of existential angst and doom.
The musical inspiration comes from metal bands such as Cult of Luna, Opeth and Mastodon, as well as progressive 70s rock such as King Crimson, while the Danish-language lyric draws on writers such as Yukio Mishima, Theis Ørntoft and Karl Ove Knausgård.
