The curtain is still closed, everything is ready for the concert. The calm before the onslaught of the audience — the spotlights are whirring. In one hour, crowds of people flock into the hall to cheer on a legendary band. A group of younger and older fans is given a guided tour of the stage beforehand — backstage — how exciting! There is the electric guitar, on which the world-famous singer is immediately playing her chords. And here are the drums, on which the drummer sets the beat.
But suddenly a door closes backstage and can no longer be opened. Behind: the band — locked in their dressing room. Even the fan group cannot free the band from their predicament. But could they save the concert? They know the songs, some even play an instrument. The only problem is that no one wants to go on stage. Instead, stage fright, sweaty hands, soft words and pressure of expectation! How do you form a band so quickly in which no one wants to be a frontwoman? How loud if you'd rather stay quiet? Who steps into the spotlight when it seems safe in the shade - and do you even have to venture into the center of attention?
The performance collective Hannsjana humorously and with lots of music tells of introversion, self-confidence, shame and excitement. “Oh embarrassing” is about people who don't have to dare but show others how to give space to quieter talents. Because only those who are louder can't automatically do it better.
