Ingredients (for 30 servings):
7 cabbages 4 bunches 5 kilos of kitchen cloths 3 people 1 golden tube A pinch of light At will: Novalic families
Preparation:
Combine raw cabbages, peeled shreds and sifted kitchen rags in one dish. Add three previously kneaded individuals, a scalded golden tube — knead gently and leave to rise for four months. Then season with light and let evaporate. Add Novalic families (of any shapes) to the base thus created, give them enough space for free movement so that the leaven can react. Take your time, take care of a pleasant consistency. Taste on an ongoing basis, stirring occasionally.
“Okruszku” is an interactive dance performance for families with babies, with live music, built around the theme of food. What does our digestive system look like? What was it made of? What associations does the stomach boil? Where do our appetites lead us?
Long-term, daily food care is an integral part of the functioning of any family with children. And although its implementations are very diverse, it is always an important component of welfare policies. The show is built on the belief that the earliest experiences related to food clearly shape the later being in the world, and affectionately watching the activities of eating — can taste our everyday life.
Before deciding to participate in the event, we ask parents, babysitters and guardians to take into account the developmental moment in which the child is and the age limit (children from 6 to about 15 months of age, not yet born). Sensitivity to these aspects is dictated by concern for the safety of all persons participating in the interactive performance format.
The premiere of the play took place on March 29, 2026 during the New Epiphany Festival in Warsaw
