About the event

A special evening dedicated to one of the most recognizable figures of the Polish scene and cinema and the legend of world cinema. Andrzej Grabowski will receive the Pola Negri Statuette for all his artistic work, and will also present his debut stand-up program. The ceremony will be accompanied by a unique screening of the film “The Beast” from 1917 — the oldest surviving film starring Pola Negri.

Andrzej Grabowski is an outstanding theater, film and cabaret actor, as well as a singer, screenwriter and director. He gained wide popularity, among others, roles in “The World According to the Poor”, “Pitbull” and “The Career of Nicodemus Dyzma”. His stage performances have been met with enthusiastic public reception for years, as evidenced by the standing ovations and inherent requests for an encore.

This evening, the artist will be honored with the Pola Negri Statuette — the film award of the Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship, awarded for the lifetime of artistic creativity. The program of the event will also include Andrzej Grabowski's debut stand-up performance, which will be an opportunity to get to know the artist in a new, humorous version.
