Omen | City Movie

A classic of the genre, widely recognized as one of the most important horror films in history. Director Richard Donner (“Goonies”, “Deadly Weapon” series) masterfully escalates the tension, revealing the next pages of this dark story. The cast is led by Gregory Peck, David Warner, Lee Remick and screen debutant Harvey Stephens.

The starting point is the adoption by the American diplomat Robert Thorn. He and his wife are grieving the loss of their own child. At the urging of a priest, they take a little boy — an orphan — under their roof. At first everything goes well, but over time it turns out that Damien is not a typical, normal child. A series of increasingly frightening events will force the main character to take up the fight for himself and loved ones.

The success of the first film launched a whole series, which to this day enjoys great popularity. A phenomenal Oscar-winning soundtrack by Jerry Goldsmith, complete with the memorable track “Ave Satani”.
