Guided tour: The beginning of it all. The Egyptian Collection of the Glyptotek

On this tour you can learn about the Glyptotek's collection of ancient Egyptian art, which today contains more than 300 works dating from a period of more than 3000 years.

The tour is free when the entrance to the museum is paid. Tour tickets cannot be pre-booked but will be picked up in the ticket sales on the day. Tickets are not issued for groups of more than five. Larger groups are referred to book a private tour.

This long period of time makes it possible to look at the development of Egyptian art, and on the tour both monumental sculptures and smaller figures of the Egyptian gods are presented. The tour also goes past the mummy cellar of the Glyptotek.
