About the tour
Join us for the final tour of European Art 1300-1800 before the exhibition closes to make way for the new exhibition, which opens in autumn 2027.
Art historian Mette Møller Jørgensen has hand-picked six of her personal favourites from the oldest part of the museum's art collection. Together we explore 400 years of art history — from the 14th to the 18th century — through works that offer powerful narratives, impressive techniques and groundbreaking innovation. Along the way we meet a work of art created in a time of crisis, a work painted with egg yolk and a visual deception that was the answer of the time to spectacular visual special effects.
One last chance to experience European Art 1300-1800, and see some of the works you might miss the most.
The tour takes place four times and the same artworks go again on each tour.
