Venue: Rangfoyer - Miguel Robitzky and Anja Rützel take another look at the latest edition of Wetten, dass..? with Thomas Gottschalk and analyse a television evening that was planned as a big farewell — and, incidentally, became an inventory of an entire age of television.
Everything was brought up once again: sofa, world stars, animal bets, excavators, nostalgia and the firm belief that Saturday evening can bring a country together. But suddenly there was also a present person sitting on the couch who no longer automatically accepted the old rules of the game.
Rützel and Robitzky analyse an evening between (a bit) emotion, (significantly more) foreign shame and television archaeology: Gottschalk as an entertainer, relic, accident and last sofa ruler, betting that..? as a large gelatinous keepsake that was shaped once again for an evening. A salon about the moment when the old television waves for the last time. And in doing so accidentally shows why it can't come back anymore.
