How do I join the Youth Research Group? Send us an email with two sentences about yourself: p.luhovyi@teatrochoty.pl Are you interested in how the internet and new technologies affect our relationships, language, body, emotions and the way we think about the world? Or are you considering studies related to sociology, media or culture and want to see what people working in these fields actually do?

We invite you to a group that will jointly explore the digital everyday life of young people. The starting point will be your experiences, observations and questions. We will learn about different methods of conducting research, and then use them to look at your chosen topics related to the Internet and technology.

This is not a school and there will be no lessons.

We will not investigate you. You will be the researchers and the researchers.

We will talk, watch, read, observe and interview. We will also try to explore reality through action: movement, play, creating situations that allow us to see how the Internet and new technologies affect our behaviors, relationships and emotions. Yes, we will also review TikToks and ads in Libras!

We will meet people who professionally look at how people use the Internet, form relationships, behave in groups and talk about themselves. We will learn how culture, media and society can be studied - not only through surveys and books, but also through art, theatre and work with your own experience.

Meetings will be held, as a rule, once every two weeks and will last about 2 hours. You do not need to have previous research or theater experience. Curiosity, willingness to talk and the desire to look at reality a little more closely are enough.

What will you gain by joining the Group?

You will learn different ways of studying culture and social life, and then use them to work on a topic of your choice together. You will meet research professionals and see what their work looks like.

At the end, you will receive an official certificate of participation in the Youth Research Group.

Conducting:

Piotr Morawski — deals with the study of theatre and its relations with social life. At the Ochoty Theater, he is responsible for the program. In the Youth Research Group, he will help you turn everyday observations into questions, and questions — into joint research. He works scientifically at the University of Warsaw.
