Opera up close — Soloists, choir, orchestra

We invite you to a unique concert from the series Opera up close — meetings dedicated to opera music, the aim of which is to introduce the audience to the most beautiful works of world opera and to show that it is an art accessible to everyone.

The Opera Close-Up Project was born out of the belief that opera need not be reserved exclusively for connoisseurs. Properly presented, it impresses with its melodiousness, emotion and extraordinary storytelling power. That is why we have prepared a series of concerts, during which the most beautiful arias and duets will be presented in an accessible and engaging formula, enriched with stories about composers, heroes and behind the scenes of the creation of the most famous operas.

The first meeting of the series took place in the historic interiors of the Goszcz Palace. Now we invite you to the next edition of the Opera up close in Rzeszów — a unique evening during which the audience will once again be able to discover the world of opera emotions.

The greatest opera masterpieces — arias, duets, ensembles and choirs — will be performed on stage by outstanding soloists: Monika Piechaczek, Silvia Rampazzo, Cristiano Lanza and Giulio Boschetti. They will be accompanied by the choir and orchestra of the Forum Artis under the baton of Marcin Wolniewski.

The artists will present fragments of such works as “Aida”, “Rigoletto”, “Trubadur” and “Traviata”. The ensemble will be complemented by spectacular scenography, costumes and choreography, creating a show that combines music, theater and an unusual visual setting.

The concert will be hosted by Jowita Dziedzic-Golec and Dariusz Stańczuk, introducing the audience to the work of Giuseppe Verdi and the context of his creation and the significance of his greatest works.
