OperaKino 26/27 - COSI FAN TUTTE from Fiorentino

Two young officers enter into a bet with the elderly Don Alfonso about the fidelity of their betrothed women. Disguised as strangers, they try to seduce each other's boyfriends. What begins as a prank develops into a complex emotional experiment in which everyone must confront their own feelings and weaknesses.
It is with world star Thomas Hampson as Don Alfonso and with him he has Valentina Nafornița, Kate Lindsey, Matthew Swensen, Mattia Olivieri and Benedetta Torre as Despina.
Mozart unites comedy and seriousness in one of opera literature's most nuanced depictions of love. The director Bechtolf chose a light, elegant and imaginative approach to the opera. The result is visually refined and fits well with the opera's mix of comedy, romance and psychological play.
