One of the most acclaimed Korean horror films for the first time in Polish cinemas in a new, restored 4K version.
The tale of Kim Jee-woon's two sisters combines a disturbing family history with a tale of a haunted house. He delights with the image, keeps in suspense and does not let himself be forgotten for a long time.
Su-mi and her younger sister Su-yeon return to their family home. Eun-joo's father and stepmother are waiting for them there. The very first meeting shows that it will be difficult to live peacefully under one roof. Su-mi does not hide her dislike for her stepmother, and shy Su-yeon keeps close to her older sister.
Soon things begin to happen in the house that are impossible to explain. Night noises and strange behavior of household members exacerbate anxiety, and ordinary conversations increasingly turn into confrontations. Sisters have each other, but is that enough to feel safe?
Intricately decorated interiors, saturated colors and camera work make the sisters' house an eye-catcher even when it causes the greatest anxiety.
The new, restored 4K version is an opportunity to take a look at this unusual space on the big screen.
