For the hero of our story, Ebenezer Scrooge, the most important thing is money. It is they who make a person important and influential, give power over others, and thus are the key to a happy life. So it is not surprising that Scrooge has spent every moment expanding his fortune for years. Looking for an opportunity to earn, however, he does not notice that with each passing year he becomes more and more a slave to his wealth. He does not realize that it has become so scattered in his heart and mind that there is no room left in him for anything or anyone else. In fact, for many years he has not owned the money, but the money has owned his... Is he happy because of it? When asked, he would probably shrug his shoulders and grumble that there is no time for such nonsense. Perhaps he would add that he would be happier if other people were not constantly looking for opportunities to reach into his pocket. And he probably would not have changed anything in his life if not for a certain unusual Christmas Eve night and special, albeit somewhat frightening guests - the ghosts of past, present and future Christmas holidays. By looking at the events of his life shown by the spirits, Ebenezer has the opportunity to judge the correctness of his decisions and life choices...
