CHRISTMAS STORY

In the pre-Christmas season, we invite you to a special evening in which music will become a story about Christmas — about its spiritual dimension, tradition and the extraordinary power of Christmas carols that have accompanied Christmas gatherings for generations.

“Christmas Story” is a concert combining old music with a contemporary look at the Polish Christmas tradition. The program included “Symphonia de Nativitate” by an anonymous Polish composer — a work that evokes the atmosphere of musical traditions associated with the Nativity — and “Symphony of Christmas carols” for voice and string orchestra by Adam Wesołowski, in which well-known melodies are given a new, concert sound.

The vocal parts will be performed by Aga Brenzak-Guz, whose voice combined with the chamber sound of the Polish Chamber Philharmonic Sopot will create a space for musical reflection and Christmas reflection.

This is an evening where tradition meets modernity, and familiar melodies take on a new shine. “The Christmas Story” invites you to pause for a moment in the pre-Christmas rush and experience music together, which brings with it memory, hope and a sense of closeness.
