TALES OF THE WOLF

The cinema premiere of the film “Tales of the Wolf” and the meeting with Adam Gełdon A dark hero from children's fairy tales or an affectionate guardian of the herd? Wolves have aroused extreme emotions in us for centuries — from deep admiration for their beauty to primal fear. We are glad that thanks to protection they reign again in the Polish forests, but we hold our breath when their paths intersect with ours. How about discarding the child's fear of the “bad wolf” from the fairy tale about Little Red Riding Hood and getting to know them as they really are? In the film “Tales of the Wolf” we throw off the burden of bad fame from this unusual predator. Our guide on this journey is Adam Gełdon — a forester and enthusiast who knows almost everything about wolves. It is he who opens the door to the fascinating world of wolf packs, showing animals loyal, caring and in their relationships... surprisingly similar to ourselves. However, the document does not avoid difficult questions. Together with scientists — Professor Sabina Pierużek-Nowak of the University of Warsaw and Dr. Katarzyna Bojarska from the Institute of Nature Conservation of the Polish Academy of Sciences, farmers and owners of houses where wolves approach, we are looking for honest answers on how to coexist wisely and safely. We wonder how to resolve conflicts at the intersection of wildlife and human civilization so that both sides can feel safe. “Tales of the Wolf” is more than a nature film. This is a beautifully filmed, emotional story about breaking barriers. See for yourself what will happen when, instead of a wall of fear, we build a bridge of understanding. Go into the forest and listen to this story.

The film was made in Masuria, Bieszczady, Małopolska and Lower Silesia, among others.
