During the tour, we will look at selected poetic works, comparing them with works from the collection of the National Museum. The galleries will be guided by poems by Rainer Maria Rilke, Wisława Szymborska and Maria Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska. The works of poets and poets will serve as a commentary on a number of topics related, among others, to a marble torso from the Ancient Gallery, a certain hairy saint or a complicated genre scene in the interior of a former house. As we read and watch, we will focus on how poetry and the visual arts interpenetrate each other — how the word can complement the image and the image inspire the word. The meeting has the character of an active tour — there will be an opportunity for your own reflections and interpretations, as well as to create author's poetic texts inspired by the chosen work.

Kacper Piszczek — Educator at the National Museum in Warsaw, a student of art history and a graduate of sculptural techniques at the art high school. Scientifically interested in the interwar twenties, Jewish art and culture. Privately a handyman and avid walker.
