Is it possible to find queerhistory in the collections of the National Museum? Can the characters depicted in our collection speak to the contemporary experiences of LGBTQ+ people? We invite you to a unique tour, during which we will look at queer contexts, non-heteronormative narratives and alternative readings of famous works. During it, we will look for subtle gestures, glances, symbols and relationships that may suggest a diversity of identities — both those deliberately hidden and unintended by the creators, but rediscovered today.

The tour is an invitation to look at art from an inclusive perspective and open to multiple interpretations. It is aimed at all those who want to better understand how queer sensitivity can coexist with the heritage of national culture.
