Discover the richest collection of medieval art in Poland, including works from the 12th to the beginning of the 16th century. The monumental altarpieces that once adorned the Gothic churches still arouse admiration today. Polychrome sculptures created in the workshops of former guild masters delight with their expressive form or subtle, elegant styling. The discovery of rich symbolism, theological truths, legends conveyed in art, allows for a moment to look at the world through the eyes of people living in the times of the Middle Ages.

Monika Jabłońska — a graduate of art history at the University of Warsaw. Since 2014 he has been working at the National Museum. He is interested in medieval art and the relationship between art and philosophy and theology.
