Icons of Polish photography and culture in the lens of Przemysław Kucharski

Przemysław Kucharski's shots are the result of a unique view of the world — captured in such a way that ordinary moments gain a new perspective, discovering unobvious spaces for the viewer and reinterpreting what at first glance seems familiar.

“Consequat spiro 6” is a series of photographs developed for several years, which documents people who have a special influence on Polish photography and culture. This is not only a collection of famous characters, but also a personal story of the author of meetings, reflections and inspirations. Kucharski listens to the invisible — thanks to this, his works gain depth, and each of them carries a trace of intimate dialogue between the photographer and the photographed.

The project debuted in 2023 during the 10th edition of the Andrzej Baturo FotoArtFestival in Bielsko-Biała, where it was presented in Książnica Beskidzka.

Kucharski's idea was appreciated and since then the series has developed dynamically, and its subsequent editions have been presented, among others, in Warsaw, Lublin, Tychy, Sosnowiec. Among the people portrayed in various situations are, among others, Krzysztof Gierałtowski, Chris Niedenthal, Tadeusz Rolke, Tomasz Tomaszewski, Anda Rottenberg, Stanisław Sojka, Zbigniew Furman, Małgorzata Bańka.

Documentation of the exhibition

Photography, which Kucharski turned to just a few years ago, immediately became more than just a passion — it became a way of seeing the world. In his works, almost always limited to black and white, the artist departs from the traditional approach to photography. Kucharski passes the world through his unique photographic prism, offering the viewer images that engage the imagination and encourage the discovery of hidden stories in everyday moments.
