Inclusive guided tour with translation at PJM after the exhibition Hotel Forum

Expressive in architectural form, an excellent example of brutalism, reinforced concrete dominates the landscape of the once intimate Ludwinov. The Forum Hotel was unlucky for the times, though it had it to people — to a crew of more than 600, for whom it was more than a workplace — it was a home with windows wide open to the western world.

The Forum Hotel is not a grateful research facility. His story is scattered and incomplete. The plans of the building remain in private hands, and the archives of the plants that produced the equipment of the hotel no longer exist. The National Archives in Krakow contains the Budopol factory archive, but it contains only documents from the first year of construction of the hotel. Thanks to the precaution of the technical staff, photocopies of several key administrative documents have been preserved, such as the decision to build the Congress Hotel or descriptive fragments of technical documentation from the architectural project.
