Hosted by: Jagoda Wójcicka
Exhibition “The Unimaginable. The Void After the Great Synagogues” draws attention to the scale of lost pre-war monuments — monumental synagogues. The reason for their destruction was hatred and violence: hatred of everything Jewish and violence against people and their material culture. Destroyed and — from today's perspective — unimaginable, these beautiful, grand synagogues were not rebuilt after World War II. Collecting examples from thirteen cities throughout Poland at the exhibition serves both to commemorate and educate about the irretrievably lost heritage.
In Polish. Free admission.
The number of seats is limited, you need to get a free ticket.
