About the exhibition:
Exhibition “New Madonnas. Tenderness, power and the totem of modernity” presents a series of images and objects inspired by the Madonna archetype, filtered through the language of contemporary visual sensibility, pop culture and personal symbolism. It is a story about woman as a source of life, knowledge and transformation — not in a religious sense, but in a universal, bodily and emotional sense.
The artist reinterprets the classic theme of the sacrum, replacing traditional halos with pulsating circles of energy, ornament and color. Madonna's characters are at the same time guardians, warriors and guides — they wear sunglasses, they hold totems, animals or hybrid children that symbolize the future, intuition and the constant evolution of man. A subdued palette of colors and rhythmic patterns build a world on the border of dream, myth and everyday life.
