Optimists is a far-off comedy about a family who go on vacation together to Egypt for the first time. Since the holidays are all-inclusive everything has to be drink-drunk, out-eaten, out-danced and out-swum! Nothing can go to waste! After all, it is paid!
For the past year, I've been traveling around different resorts to see what's happening on all inclusive holidays. The stories I saw have been tweaked so that this evening would be a great entertainment for our viewers. I am sure that everyone will have a great time watching a comedy that they have not seen before in the theater! — says Krzysztof Czeczot, director of the play. The story takes place in Egypt, in one of the resorts. Ewa (in this role Karolina Gorczyca) invited her parents, Kasia and Janka (Hanna Śleszyńska and Piotr Cyrwus) to an exclusive holiday to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their parents' wedding. But it turns out to be different than she planned: mom complains, dad walks in jeans despite the heat, her husband Adaś (Marcin Korcz) uses free drinks, and she herself tries to make it to the end of the trip. For this, a table is kept, in which it is written whether it is eaten, drunk, floated, danced, run... In hot Egypt, it is seething with hot emotions.
