Abandoned Asia. Secrets of Taiwan's Forgotten Places

On October 23 (Friday) at 17:00 we invite you to the Library of Knowledge for a meeting with the Ruin Hunter, who will reveal the secrets of abandoned places in Taiwan. The 24-year-old Ruin Hunter set off alone for Taiwan with one goal — to discover places that have long been deserted and today hide their own, often unusual stories. On the spot, together with the group “Discover Taiwan”, they looked into mysterious UFO Houses, closed shopping centers, an abandoned temple or a ghost playroom - but this is only a fragment of the places that were on the route. In the middle of this unusual journey, a completely different plot also appeared: the premiere of the feature film The Ruin Hunter in Taipei, organized for the Taiwanese Polonia.

However, there will be moments when adventure ceases to be fun. A lost passport, a little adventure with the police, and even the moment when a traveler almost lost his life - all this made the expedition completely unpredictable.

It will be a story not only about ruins. It is the story of an unusual journey full of adrenaline, cases, people, culture, secrets and situations that cannot be planned. A story about Taiwan that you definitely won't see in a typical guidebook.
