Organ matinee with Isabelle Demers
tickets
Invited by the Berliner Philharmoniker
info
At first glance, organ and timpani may not have much in common, but both instruments are particularly capable of electrifying the audience. This is proven by Québec organist Isabelle Demers and solo pianist of the Berliner Philharmoniker Vincent Vogel. With powerful music by John Williams from Star Wars and the Firebird Suite by Igor Stravinsky, Isabelle Demers also presents herself as a soloist. There is also a new work by Oscar Jockel, a conducting fellow at the Karajan Academy from 2022 to 2024 and conducting assistant to Kirill Petrenko.
