The Embedding of the Mulch is a unique event consisting of three parts. The ceremonial covering of the rose with straw is preceded by a colorful wedding procession, which passes through the streets of Bronowice. The event is crowned with performative tours, when the interior of the building is again filled with music and the hustle and bustle of the wedding guests.
The solemn covering of the rose with straw is a kind of ritual commemorating the opening of the Museum in Rydlówka in 1969. It is also a reference to “The Wedding” - the famous drama of Stanisław Wyspiański and the memorable wedding of Lucjan Rydel and Jadwiga Mikołajczykówna, which took place in this building.
The event is invariably implemented thanks to the involvement of local residents, schools and organizations, thanks to the financial and organizational support of District VI Council and Rydlówka's patron - Galeria Bronowice.
We invite you to celebrate, dance and sing together! If you want to participate in this event, be sure to dress warmly and, if possible, provide colorful scarves, wreaths, peacock feathers and other elements of folk costume. Let's make Bronowice Mały delight again with a riot of colors during this one day.
Program of the event:
11:00 — the wedding procession will start from the parking lot in front of the Church of St. Anthony of Padua (from Pod Strzechą Street) and march to Rydlówka. Along the way we will learn to sing and dance together as well as learn about folk customs and rites related to weddings.
In the event of extremely adverse weather conditions, the parade will be canceled.
Approx. 12:00/12:30 — the ceremony of Embedding Chochoł in front of Rydlówka. The event will begin as soon as the colorful wedding procession arrives at Rydlówka.
