Musical Theatre Roma - Nova Scena

About the event

This is an evening full of class, emotions and melodies that have been creating the foundations of Polish song for years. Janek Traczyk — at the piano and accompanied by a string trio — interprets Seweryn Krajewski's most famous works, giving them new, cinematic arrangements — moody, elegant and focused on words and feelings. This is a concert for those who appreciate beautiful music, tasteful sounds and want to rediscover familiar songs.

Janek Traczyk

Singer, composer, pianist, songwriter and musical actor. A graduate of the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw at the Faculty of Composition.

He has been present on the Polish music and theater scene for years, where he stands out for his sensitivity, expression and characteristic voice. He played leading roles in the biggest Polish musicals (“Metro”, “Notre Dame de Paris”, “Miss Saigon”, “Rent”), and for 9 years he regularly performs at the ROMA Music Theater (“Pilots”, “Aida”, “Waitress”, “We Will Rock You”, “Wicked”).

A wide audience got to know him thanks to the programs “Chance for Success”, “The Voice of Poland” and “Your Face Sounds Familiar” (in which he won second place). In 2020, he released the author's album “I'm Still”. The title song from this album won the Debuts competition at the Opole Festival. In his compositions he combines pop, film music and classical elements. He is touring all over Poland and is currently working on his second album.

He is also a composer of music for educational and ecological performances in the Bohema House theater (including “Thumbelina. Magic is in nature”, “The girl with matches. World of smog”, “Pirates of Plastikland. Secrets of the Deep”, “Doctor Dolittle's Plastic Circus”, “The Magic of Recycling” and “Climate Blame”).
