Anders Thomas Jensen's film is not only a tragicomedy about two brothers and the search for treasure, it also shows how the past meets the future. We will talk about the conflict of Anker and Manfred as two escape strategies, the first of which is crime, violence and money, the second - the creation of your own personality. We will analyze, among other things, the way in which the film portrays people with intellectual disabilities, what makes A.T. Jensen's films stand out, and whether the creator laughs at us or just at our way of dealing with reality? And above all: can we laugh at everything?

HIGH/LOW CORTISOL

A new, original film series in which we will consciously swing between genres, themes and tension. Films will be selected in the key of high cortisol — action, tension, distrustful and critical attitude towards the world and low cortisol, i.e. bittersweet films, full of humor, tenderness, ordinary-unusual stories and human emotions, at which you can smile, move or just have fun.

Each film tells one and a million stories at the same time. Each of us perceives the world a little differently, reacts differently and has a different palette of associations and thoughts and this is the most interesting and often escapes when we have no one to talk to about what we have just watched. Together we will experience meetings that will tear us out of our own bubble of perception of the world. They will make us learn something about ourselves and awaken critical thinking.

Marta Kożuchowska, the host of the series, invites you to brainstorm and emotions - a film expert and Internet creator, known under the name O_oezu, who for many years has been dealing with widely understood pop culture, film and commenting on reality in her own unique way.

Meetings within the cycle are held once a month.
