There is a moment that cannot be seen at once — the moment that is the silent beginning of the end. It is not accompanied by the sound of breaking glass, there is no directed dramaturgy, loud screaming or crying in it. Rather, it resembles matter, imperceptibly slipping out of our hands, like sand, which even a second ago seemed to be the foundation on which we built a lasting and secure future.
“Last Conversations” is a dance performance about a fragile turning point and a moment when confidence begins to turn to dust. This is the story of a relationship that was home for years until suddenly, almost silently, it ceased to be. On stage, the bodies of the dancers become a living archive — they record traces of what was common, but also precisely trace the process of slow decay. The matter that accompanies them cannot be maintained in a constant form: it overflows, changes shape and spirals out of control, reminding us that what we thought to be inviolable is only temporary.
It is a story of a painful awakening and the realization that the foundation to which we gave everything was marked by impermanence from the beginning. The performance puts the viewer before the question of how to behave in the second in which the purpose of life is lost and whether we are able to indicate in our life anything that is really constant.
Duration of the performance: 70 minutes.
