We tame fears (collage workshop for children)

We cordially invite you to the meeting for children “Taming fears”, which will take place on October 18 (Sunday) at 11:30 in the temporary headquarters of the gallery in HALA URANIA — Al. Marsz. J. Piłsudski 44, Olsztyn.

What really scares us? Darkness, a monster under the bed, something unknown, or maybe a completely different fear, which is difficult to name?

During the workshop, children will transfer their fears to the world of art, creating their own collage images inspired by the slightly dark atmosphere of a fairy tale. Everyone will create their own form of what they fear, without ready-made answers and without a single correct interpretation.

The resulting CREATURE or symbol of fear will be able to be moved around the image. First, it can be where it causes the most anxiety, and later find a completely new place, closer to us, next to the bed, at hand or other... maybe even quite friendly. Because sometimes taming fear begins with giving it its own shape.

The meeting will be hosted by Ewelina Bielak “Kreatura”
