About the event

We are happy to invite you to the third and final day of the celebration of the opening of the exhibition “Suzanne Treister: Prophetic Dreaming”.

On October 11, 2026 at 12:30 we invite children and young people to a unique opening of the exhibition in ms1. The program includes a tour of the exhibition, workshop activities, retro arcade machines and shared refreshments.

We also invite all those interested at 13:00 for the first curatorial tour in Polish, which will be led by Gabriela Sitek.

Curatorial tour of the exhibition “Suzanne Treister: Prophetic Dreaming” At 13:00 we will meet Gabriela Sitek, curator of the exhibition from the Museum of Art in Łódź. During the tour, Gabriela Sitek will introduce the concept of the exhibition and the most important themes of the work of Suzanne Treister - a pioneer of digital art, internet and new media. She will talk about the works presented in the exhibition, their contexts and how the artist has been using art for more than four decades to explore the relationship between technology, society, power, science and alternative belief systems.

During the tour, you will be able to look at both early projects such as Video Game Painting (1989-1991) and Software (1993-1994), as well as more recent works, including the HEXEN 5.0 tarot deck (2023-2025). The curator will pay special attention to the ways in which Treister combines the analysis of the present with the imagining of possible scenarios of the future.

The tour will be an opportunity to get to know the exhibition from a curatorial perspective and to better understand the multithreaded and unobvious connections of Suzanne Treister's work.

Vernisage for children and adolescentsWhat can the future look like? Is it possible to predict it, or can it be better imagined? During the opening for children and young people, we will look at the Suzanne Treister exhibition, using tarot cards, imagination, conversation and joint action. The event has been prepared with two age groups in mind. Younger children will create their own shared tarot deck inspired by the exhibition, while older participants will take part in a debate inspired by HEXEN 5.0 cards - Suzanne Treister's latest project, in which the artist combines tarot symbolism with reflections on artificial intelligence, the climate crisis and the future.

Program:

12:30 - 13:00 - Guided tour of the exhibition will take place in two age groups:

4-10 years

11+ years
