MOCAK and the Music Cooperative invite you to a series of workshops for youth, adults and seniors, which aims to acquaint participants with the most important trends in music of the 20th and 21st centuries in relation to painting, sculpture, video art and performance.
The workshop will take place on November 27 at the time of the exhibition exchange. Usually, during the time between exhibitions, the space is not made available to visitors, even if they can enter it, only by sneaking in on the way to another exhibition.
During the workshop we will treat the place at the moment of passage as a field for improvisation and interpretation and a space of freedom not defined by the exposition. We will consider whether undeveloped space is empty space, we will see if and how it can be filled with sound, meaning and emotions. We will try to use the ready-made strategy using as instruments, or — more broadly — artifacts, objects found, not always and necessarily associated with art, but present in the museum space and used during the change of the exposition: tools, scraps of exhibition materials, building elements.
