MOCAK and the Music Cooperative invite you to a series of workshops for youth, adults and seniors, which aims to acquaint participants with the most important trends in music of the 20th and 21st centuries in relation to painting, sculpture, video art and performance.
On December 12th we will be joining the Eleanor Antin exhibition. Together with the participants of the workshop, we will discover the connections between the artist's art and the world of sound. Since the beginning of his activity, Antin has been practicing conceptual art, often expressed in installation and performative forms. We will examine and listen to the music of artists coming from the New York environment who created in the 60s and 70s of the 20th century, an environment whose aesthetic attitudes also shaped the artist. We will check what solutions used in music and more broadly — the art of sound have their counterparts in Antin's work. We will use the observed strategies for the musical interpretation of one of the artist's works.
