In the series “Museum from behind the scenes: 40 years of collection creation”, in the jubilee year of the 40th anniversary of the Museum of Cinematography, the daily work of the museum and museologists will be presented: collecting collections, their scientific development, safe storage, preservation and popularization.

During a guided walk through selected rooms of the exhibition “Film Boat” and “40 Treasures for the 40th Anniversary of the Museum of Cinematography” — at a meeting dedicated to the memorabilia of filmmakers — a collection of souvenirs and awards won at film festivals will be discussed, which is a separate place in the collection.

These are often objects of documentary or symbolic value, related to the biographies of directors, cinematographers, actors, scenographers, composers and other people who co-create and popularize film works. Personal souvenirs allow you to learn about the individual fate of artists, their workshop, professional contacts and creative path, while the festival awards testify to the reception of films, their artistic significance and place in the history of cinema.
