“This Journey Continues” is a concert - a tribute to the Great Singer and outstanding composers and songwriters, Friends of Magda Umer: Osiecka, Czapińska, Przybor, Wasowski, Nahorne, Knittle, Młynarski...
This concert is not only a meeting with the work of the Artist, who for years has taught us to be attentive to the word, silence and emotions hidden between sounds; it is above all a desire to keep Magda Umer for longer, so that this fragility, truth and transience do not pass away.
And Lena Piękniewska will take care of it. Not coincidentally. Magda Umer, since they met in 2006, has supported and cheered Lena. She accompanied in projects and concerts. They were close. This evening is full of memories, anecdotes and stories about Magda, to the rhythm of the most beautiful songs, songs to which everyone is invited, because these melodies do not pass.
Of the countless number of songs, Lena chose those closest to her and to herself. We will hear, among others, “Chestnuts are already buzzing”, “Love in Portofino”, “Formerly funny”, “Still in the green”, “I'm still waiting for something”, but also those less known, beloved by Magda, such as “Luna silver-eyed”, “Lullaby for Grandma”, “Time for clouds and forest”, “Sleepy herbs”.
