We invite you to a unique moment in the work on the play “Pan Twardowski”: an open rehearsal. For the first time, we will combine all the most important elements of the show in one space.
Practical information
🎟️ Free admission — registration is required: https://forms.gle/bhJMibykLsHBLRn16
The rehearsal starts punctually at 20:00. Please arrive approximately 15 minutes early. After the start of the rehearsal, it may not be possible to enter the hall, so as not to interfere with the work of actors and musicians.
About the event
Actors, live musicians, scenography and props will meet here, which we are working on together as part of the Intergenerational Laboratory of Theatre and Crafts. On stage you will see, among other things, the main element of the scenography: a light, movable structure resembling a tower. There will also be wooden cubes, half-masks inspired by the Wawel Heads and other elements made by the participants of the project, i.e. youth and adults.
This is an important stage for us. We want to see how movement, music, set design and acting begin to work together. You will see the show while it is being created, before everything is finally put together.
Our Twardowski is not a Sarmatian nobleman. He is a Renaissance alchemist from Podgórze, settled in Krakow during the time of Zygmunt August and Barbara Radziwiłłówna. The story is carried out in the convention of commedii dell'arte, with masks and expressive movement.
