Lady Too Tiny

Based on a text by Michał Kažmierczak.

The action takes place in the forest and tells the story of Mr. Shrew, who one winter morning notices that his wife is not in the common bed. At first he is frightened, but over time he calms down, remembering that the characteristic of shrews is to reduce their size for the winter (Dehnel phenomenon — the effect of seasonal variation of internal organs in small insectivorous mammals /shrew), detected and described in 1949 on the basis of Białowieża material by the eminent zoologist and teriologist, Prof. Dr. August Dehnel. Encyclopedia of the Białowieża Forest). For many months, loved ones are not able to convey to Mr. Shrew the most difficult news. A certain amount of time passes. When spring comes, the main character asks his wife to start increasing. However, there is still no one to see next to him except his forest friends. They decided to “be around” Mr. Shrew all the time because it was an “extremely hard winter” for him.
