Pan's Labyrinth

Magical-realistic 'Pan's Labyrinth' is considered by many as the Mexican success director Guillermo del Toro's most successful film. A bleak fable about the adventure-loving girl Ofelia, who (op) finds a dream world to escape her sadistic stepfather, the guerrilla-purger Captain Vidal in fascist Spain in 1944. In an ancient overgrown labyrinth, Ofelia meets a fairy who offers her to return to the underworld to rule over her father's kingdom. But first, she must complete three tests before the full moon! The film was nominated at almost all the major awards ceremonies in 2007 and was awarded, among other things, an Oscar statuette for best photography.

We are showing 'Pan's Labyrinth' in the newly restored digital 20th anniversary edition, which was shown in 'Cannes Classics' at the May 2026 Film Festival.
