Papageno and Papagena - a PixiOpera

Papageno and Papagena is about Frederik, who is a very accomplished opera singer, so he wants to sing a lot of fine concerts for children. But it doesn't always go so well, and he scolds his friend, the show manager, who just wants to help him get even better — maybe he should try to relax a bit and learn to use his imagination?

PixiOpera is inspired by two characters from Mozart's The Magic Flute and is about being friends, unfriends and lovers. As in a real fairy tale, a colorful and playful universe emerges filled with love, magic, frogs that turn into princes - and a pet with a stomach ache.

In the Royal Theatre's PIXI performances, the little ones in the family can get a fun and unpretentious introduction to the theatre's classical arts; opera, acting, ballet and concert. PixiOpera is an opera in mini format made and told to children with songs and musical excerpts from well-known opera titles, but which has been given new text.

In Papageno and Papagena, the musical excerpts are taken from Mozart's The Magic Flute.

Give children their perhaps first encounter with the opera genre in this enjoyable performance for the little ones.
