Somebody's calling. Someone's not picking up. Someone has a birthday. Someone's going to the doctor. Somebody's a doctor. Somebody's sick. Someone has a deadline. Someone is born. Someone's past the deadline. Somebody's dying. Someone was kidnapped by aliens. Someone hit his head and dreamed he was a man. “Paprykarz Szczecin” is a comedy about life and death, and about what we have inside, under an aluminum lid.

About the event

And what is not here! In terms of genre, it is a delicious mix of comedy, drama, musical, horror and sci-fi watered by a wonderful sea of absurdity. Michał Kmiecik wrote a brilliant script using clichés, commenting on fundamental things. If there is something to laugh about here, be prepared for strong emotions too (a potentially funny joke about a broken phone in a split second turns into a situation that grips the heart and throat; the authors also took care of moving endings of the play). The style of directing Marcin Libero's text is spectacularity on a large and medium scale — he is ultra-talented, eclectic, efficient and, despite his rather long presence on stage, still able to surprise the audience. (...) The enthusiastic reaction of the audience to the performance from Szczecin shows how much air and fun are needed in the theater. When, at the end, one of the actors asks from the stage: Well, what, did you like it? There is no uncertainty or need for acceptance. It is rather certain that such a theater must be made. Well, because you have to. Anna Pajęcka, Biweekly
