We invite you to participate in one of the nationwide concerts promoting an important project for Polish culture that introduces modern listeners to the work of Karol Mikuli - one of the most important students of Fryderyk Chopin and an outstanding promoter of his music.

Weronika Chodakowska is the first pianist in the world to release two solo albums, containing a total of 21 world premieres of Karol Mikuly's phonographic piano works.

During the recital at the Regional Cultural Center in Kołobrzeg, the pianist will present material from her latest album “From Paris to Lviv”, opening up new perspectives for the listeners to understand the forgotten achievements of the Lviv composer.

The concert program will also include Weronika Chodakowska's original Mazurkas op. 1 and piano pieces by Cécile Chaminade, thus embodying the idea of promoting female composers.

The audience will immerse themselves in the subtle sounds of Claude Debussy's compositions, and the literary word will cover the whole by Piotr Polk - an outstanding theater, television, dubbing and film actor, known for many serial and television roles.

Piotr Polk will interpret works by Bronisława Ostrowska, Charles Baudelaire and Paul Verlaine.

“From Paris to Lviv”

The album “From Paris to Lviv” contains as many as 14 world premieres, including Deux Nocturnes op. 19, Six Valses op. 18, Valse in A major op. 20 and, for the first time, the fully recorded series Dix pièces op. 24.

Karol Mikuli combines harmonic richness and attention to form with a lyrical tone with an extraordinary sensitivity, while not shying away from virtuoso elements.

This is the first recording in history of works by an outstanding student of Chopin, which have been waiting for discovery for almost 130 years, as well as the result of the artist's many years of research on Mikuli's work.

The premiere concert of the album took place on December 17, 2025 in Warsaw and was met with extremely enthusiastic reception from critics and audiences.

Partners of the publishing house are the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, KAWAI Polska and ZAiKS. Media patronage of the album was taken over by Program II of Polish Radio and Polish Radio Chopin.

Weronika Chodakowska is an artist of the younger generation, constantly looking for new, inspiring musical spaces. She passionately creates and engages in projects that bring to life the undiscovered work of Polish composers, showing its timeless beauty and emotional depth.

Her visionary view of classical music, combined with authenticity and courage in shaping her individual artistic path, makes her one of the most interesting personalities of the Polish piano scene.
