Transformation (in) complete — from spiders to wasps hunting them

“During our meeting, I would like to introduce you to the world of spiders and insects, as well as the work of an entomologist and how such an activity can become the most beautiful passion in life. All this will be shown with the help of their own photographs and recordings and real crafted specimens of these animals. In addition, I will briefly tell you how it happened that I changed from spiders to wasps hunting them, and why I used to run away from wasps and hornets, and now they are fleeing from my net.

Hosted by: Jan Siczek

“I graduated from the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Animal Engineering at the Warsaw University of Warsaw, and I am currently on the 3rd semester of my master's studies at the same university. Before that, I graduated from the veterinary technical school in Warsaw. A passion for animals, especially spiders and insects, accompanied me from an early age, once more amateur and oriented towards spiders and reptiles, and now a professional-scientific one dedicated to hymenoptera, more precisely, stingers. I am currently conducting research on this group not only from Poland, but also from Madagascar.”

description of the project:

Passiongreen — share what you love!

Do you have a passion, a hobby, something that draws you in without the rest?

Do you like to tell stories, inspire, infect others with your enthusiasm?

Or do you create, collect, travel, experiment in the kitchen, in the workshop or in the garden?

If you are a resident of the municipality of Piaseczno, we invite you to participate in Pasjodzieleń — a series of meetings for residents of our municipality, during which enthusiasts talk about what they love to do most. Join the group of presenters and share your story, knowledge and experience! Meetings are open, full of good energy and interesting conversations. Participation and presentation are completely free.

You don't have to be an expert — you just need to have a heart for what you do.

Passion Greening — because passion grows when you share it!

Inspire others, meet new people and discover how beautiful it is to share your passion.
